yep there are two different alluminum frames. You might be able to modify the cx frame for the cx2 but it would be easier to just buy a new one for the cx2 and sell the old one. I'm sure a lot of people in here will take it off your hands for a resonable price . That or just build a new cx2. Its always fun doing that, then you can have two helicopters
