RE: Byron Wedell Williams Racer Build
After going over the photo's of the #44 and 121 tail section I'm deviating from the plans to make the model more scale. The elevators and rudder are not tapered to the trailing edge as the plans call for. They are uniform in thickness with a rounded edge.
Look back on the prior post of the elevators. The dowel in the kit was drilled off center so I fabricated another, The position marked and drilled then epoxied in place. I added 1/8 ply on each side of the TE to thicken it then rough sanded to shape. Filler added and will sand and round the edge. Another item are the flying wires the #44 plane has 1 anchor point the #121 has 2 so I'll have to commit to a final version soon.
