Oh, so, the job of the AVCS (or GYRO, right?) is to measure the angles of the heli? But from which axis? The vertical? I still can't figure how the GYRO works. Can say it to me in simply words? Thanks
It senses a rotation about an axis and applies a correction signal to a servo to counter act it. Most cases, its the rudder. Our flybarless systems use a 3 axis gyro, one on the rudder, one on the elevator, and one on the aileron. It takes the place of the flybar that makes the rotor system more stable.
