I haven't had any of vnm's problems, but he might be beating on his a little harder than I do. I've rung mine out, gave it hell, and broken nothing. I did replace the stock c-clip lower hinge pins with some captured units before I got rough with it (Mugen MBX5T's), tires and wheels (often done anyway no matter what vehicle it is). And it's kickin right along, I do plan on getting the Caster Big Bores...but I have Jammin 16mm Big Bores on it right now. I've had zero problems out of mine and love it.
As far as handling go's, The Caster (compared to the TTR) feels extremely fluid and effortless to me. Where the TTR felt more like a tank, the Caster feels more like a tuned sports car. Turns significantly better than my TTR as well.
