Default Todd's Bobcat elevator servo covers

G'day all,

As many of you know there has been a lengthy debate about replacing the 3301's in the Bobcat elevator with something larger, which would require some kind of fairing since the servo would protude below the bottom surface of the stab.

Todd (lov2flyrc) posted here about the fact that he was willing to help out by molding elevator servo covers and making them available at whatever it cost him to produce.

At that point we were mildly concerned about the fact that we were allowing that thread to continue, whereas we closed down other threads in which people were offering to sell parts that they manufacture. However, the thread was left in place mainly because of the offer to sell the parts at what they cost - we hoped that we could address some of your recent concerns about how strict we are on commercial posts, by trying to differentiate between threads where someone was out to make a profit vs threads where someone is just offering goods at cost in order to help fellow RCU members.

However, after some input from members, and consideration by a bunch of the mod's, it has become quite clear that the above line would be impossible to draw fairly and consistently in each case in future - and so I'm afraid we've had to reconsider our little experiment.

Consequently, Todd's thread has been moved to the Product Announcement forum: http://www.rcuniverse.com/showthread...hreadid=758931

Normally we would not make a post here indicating that an announcement has been moved - but in this case I'm doing so because otherwise I know it's only a matter of time before someone posta a "Where did that thread go" query. Everyone who posted an "I want some" reply in the thread still has their post in the moved thread, so you need not worry about that. Anyone else who wants to join in will have to do so by PM or email though, since you can't reply to that thread now that it has been moved.

Thanks for listening, and sorry that we couldn't find a better way to make this work.
