Thanks for the responce everyone. I was thinking that I had over reacted a bit. I found out after the parade that a glass bottle had been tossed onto the trailer.
I have two kids myself. 6 and 2, if they ever pull a stunt like this I think I would feel like I failed as a parent. There is a fine line between letting kids express them selfs and just letting them run wild. Trust me I know, I have been there. And I'm proud of where I am today.
