Default RE: Wingloading 101 help

ORIGINAL: WMB

Hi all, I have a 4*40 with wing loading of 18.12 oz/sqft and a Midwest Semi scale Zero with about 23.2oz/sqft. Wingspan real close to each other. Figures based on advertised wing area. The 4* I can usually grease in on landing, flies nice. The Zero is difficult to land. Try to land a little hotter helps but hard to do. Too slow and it stalls. Balance feels good on both when inverted. The Zero flies great! I just can't land it smoothly. Any tips on this?
Thanks, MikeB
Check the wing volume loading of each, it is much more indicative of the flyability of a model than wing loading is. When that WVL gets much above 11 the plane gets pretty touchy.
