RE: Should AMA discontinue the Senior Citizen discount
Seniors pay less because they fly less, tend to fly slower planes, and just crash less often. On average, there are a couple of seniors I know that crash all the time, but also many younger people. The AMA probably make more money on them at $48 because of less insurance payout. If they raised the price then many seniors, some who are uncertain about the health next year, are more likely not to renew.
