That airplane is the result of a time honored old art called Kit Bashing, its actually a Hobby Lobby Senior Telemaster. that one took about six months.
You can and will be able to do the same kind of Stuff sooner than you think, with the Electronics, engines, materials and commuications we now have avaliable litterally the sky is the limit.
You have made some excellent choices already and I must add that its refreshing to see someone who understands the need to climb that airmanship and craftsmanship ladder one rung at a time. You will go far wherever that may be.
