Hi To get things started I wanted to tell you that I am new at 3d. I picked up a hyperion extra 260 40E
http://www.atsrcplanes.com/hyperion_...ra_260_40e.htm
I have a skyshark 50x55 600kv outrunner, 120amp venom esc, fightpower evo 30 3200mah 5s lipo, castle ubec, and hs225mg servos.
I have the cg set at 100mm back (manual states to start at 93mm back)(at 100 mm back it floats in with no power level"hands off") and all the control throwes set at or slightly above(only the rudder is above and it still needs a hair more) manuals recommended throws for 3d. I weigh in at 4 pounds 11 ozs and have 1400watts on tap with a 15x8 prop. Have pullout power under 1/2 throttle
I get tons of wing rock trying to harrier and cant seem to keep it stable in a hover. Cant blender or waterfall either???????? I did get it to do a parachute(it looked awsome but of course it fell out of it). Also since I have gone to the bigger 15x8 prop I can knife edge the whole feild(I have now gotten it down to about 10 foot high but the planr doesnt have enough rudder to pull up once its set in)
Well I went to the lhs last night and got on the sim to see if it was just my lack of skills. Well I did rock solid harriers and hovers also did waterfalls, elevaters, and blenders like a pro. I ask the lhs guy(he is a 3d piliot but gas not electric) why it was so easy to do on the sim. He said for a hover to be that stable I must be flying a plane with a gyro. So he came and checked it out and I wasnt(it was me) He was very surprised. So He put on the bad weather, changed up the planes and all. I sill could do them all with out issues. So he said it must be my plane.
If anyone could offer some help I would be graetly appreciated
