Better option than nylon bolts?

Use the Nylon bolts. The same concept would apply as the one you had mentioned about the air cylinder in the folding wing, safety break-away in case of cylinder malfunction.
You may be able to salvage more of the wing upon impact (hope not) with the nylon bolts shearing.
