Belted tires work excellent on the road. Surface prep is crucial to the mounting process to prevent them from peeling off the wheel.

Surface prep:
Lightly sand the rim where the tire will contact with 120 grit. If it's a chrome wheel, sand off the chrome plating.

Scuff the tire where it contacts the rim with the sandpaper as well.

Wash the tires and wheels in warm soapy water.

Using rubbing alcohol and a cotton swab, wipe down the sanded surfaces. Do not touch the surfaces, or you will place oils from your skin on them, and glue will not stick.

Using a good CA glue gel from your LHS, bond the surfaces of the trie and rim 360 degrees around the bead. Make sure to get some glue in the lip of the wheel where it meets the tire sidewall. It's difficult, but try to prevent getting glue on the sidewall itself.

When finished, peel your fingers apart where you glued them together. Pull gently, or it will hurt.
