I bought a used sukhoi from a guy at our field with a 2300. He was running a 18x10 and said it was a dog. I went for a 16x10 apc but have yet to get the plane up into the air. The initial run-ups seemed good. But I guess I wont know until I get it up in the air.
Obviously the guy you bought the Sukhoi from knew little about ST engines. An 18x10 is more suitable for a ST3000 or 3250 than a 2300.
If you are using the standard silencer I would suggest you prop the 2300 to run approx. 8000 - 8500 rpm static.
