YS 140FZ Needs assistance
Please bear with me... I have a 140FZ which I crashed in 05. I have finally put it in another plane but am having trouble tuning it in. In the 05 crash it destroyed the carb body, I have installed a new one along with new gaskets. I have adjusted the Idle screw 1 turn out and the high speed needle 2.5 out to start. I have also brought the regulator screw to flush with the pump body. I think this is all right so far.
When I start the engine it will run as long as the glow plug is lit. When the engine stops there is fuel running out of the carb (this is a inverted engine) When running there is plenty of smoke. I began turning in the regulator a little at a time until it was closed and still I have fuel running out of the carb and the engine will not run without the glow plug lit. I'm a bit stumped, before the crash the engine ran fine, I replaced all the damaged parts and gaskets. What am I missing? Any help would be welcomed. At this point I will try anything.
Thanks,
John Hayes
