I prefer something a little larger, in the 1500 range.
It gives me more flying time between charges.
I've never had to charge at the field, always had enough for the day.
It may throw your balance off some so be prepared to make some adjustments.
Don't buy a bunch of extra packs for the future - they have a tendency do die sitting around doing nothing.
I still use the wal-wart that came with my 600 mAh battery I just do it longer.
I've bought Ebay batteries and haven't been badly burned but not real excited about them either.
I do cycle several times to form and test them before they go in the plane.
I also have a fair amount of electronic experience to make these decisions with.
Others are right, why save $15 and risk your $150 plane?
