Do you actually use it for hinges, or just to seal the hinge joint. I must try some next plane. I have been using the method of pulling the top covering down over the aileron, holding the aileron in the down position, then ironing the covering on both top of wing and top of aileron all in one piece. Then I tuck the fold in the hinge gap as the aileron comes up into a neutral position. I'am always surprised that the air pressure on the bottom of the wing doesn't blow it up, but it has never happened to me.
