If you are using a high grade turbine oil that does not coke up as much as others, why not spec a higher oil content to better lubricate things that are spinning really fast??
Keep in mind Jetcat has a reputation to uphold, just like BV or any of the other manufacturers that are trying to put out the "best" product out there. Oil, like a lot of other things in this hobby has different properties the more you spend. (at least in some cases, obviously there are always exceptions to the rules).
It almost always pays out to use what is spec'd out by the manufacturer and distribution centers. If it is a cost issue, yous guys are in the wrong hobby [sm=greedy.gif]
If it is a health issue, well, I bought a sanding bar the other day that is known to cause cancer in the state of California
