A friend had the LT-25 with a TT .25 GP (plain bearing). It flew great on that engine, and he had a good time flying it in strong winds.
Who says a .40 is "barely enough"? He must like to make epoxy fillets. Either that or he think trainers should be able to hover.

I had a kadet lt 25 and i started with a crappy little 25 (cant remember the name) got rid of it, cause almost everyone in the club tried to get it to run right (constant dead sticks). the 25 had enough power for this model. my instructor suggested that i try a 40 in this model, and it was a perfect match. it flew more like a sport plane with this engine. provided hours of fun, til radio failure did it in.
