There's a WHOLE lot more sanding to do when you make your own parts for a scratch/plan build...probably spent 4 hours or so making up my own tapered ailerons, elevators, and rudder by the time I traced the parts on sheet stock, cut out the parts, set up the appropriate music wire rods to sand the taper on each side, actually sanded the taper on each side using three grades of sandpaper, located each hinge line and put in the hinge line bevels on each of the five pieces required for the Astro-Hog. Whew!! Nearly wore me out just writing it.... Lots of fun for me though!!
