It sounds like your gyro is bad. Mine went bad after about 6 months of having it. I called Horizon and they said to mail it in with a description of the problem. I had a new one in less then a week! Give that a shot.
I would never mix servos on the cyclic! Servos have different movements and throws. Always use the same servos for the cyclic. So upgrade to the Hitec65 or get another 55 for the cyclic.
