Default RE: Marine Grease

I use marine grease with anti sling properties. It holds on to spinning parts better & doesn't make such a mess inside the boat. But after each run I pull the flex cable & needle bearing cartridge, spray them with carby cleaner & put it in a pvc tube full of diff oil anyway. Then spray all of the metal parts with WD40 & let dry to prevent corrosion.

Having friends who work in boat yards is a bonus, I get half used tubes & tubs of marine grease for free, & the amount of grease in the half used tub lasts me a long time.
