Thought some of you might like to see my
stalled FW-190 build. For fun, I decided to put flaps and retracts in it [8D], and this is obviously giving me a bit of a headache with the linkage. It's not an issue with the size of the wing it has more to do with the design of the Robart gear I chose. Hobbico 10 sized gear would have been much easier to rig.
4 servo's in the wing (2 for ailerons, 1 flaps, 1 gear) and 2 in the fuse (ele, rud). It will be electric powered with a 250W motor, 25A ESC and 1350 FP lipo. Aside from the retract linkage and the pilot (which I waited 3 months to order
), the airframe could be finished quite quickly. I lightened the fuselage considerably to compensate for the heavier wing. However, I think that I might make a plain foam wing with no gear for flying. The gear and flap wing is for kicks... who knows, if I can bring it in under 25 oz. it might just be ok!
I was considering finishing with clear film and testors model master flat paint.
