Just a thought! I've gone to A123 2S 1100mAh batteries for all of my Spektrum rx use. they are 2-cell, 6.6v, and deliver even discharge thoughout it's capacity. They can be charged at 2-10A, and cycled over 1000 times. You can typically get 6 flights min. before re-charging at the field and then it only takes 10-15 min. to top them off. Weight and cost is the same as a decent 5 cell NiCad or NiMh rx pack (they have higher initial voltage, over 7v). I have no worries now about brownouts due to low voltage during high torque manuvers.
