the sullivan starter is rated to 24V at 100 amps.....I have no idea what the peak output in amps is of an 1830 battery....
42etus your set up looks ok...but aren't you running 18V on a starter rated at 12V? That's why there is a warning on starters not for continuoius use lol
I've got one starter that I've been using with 3-6cell packs for over 6 years now. No problems at all. It could die tomorrow and I would have got my money's worth out of it.
