they are slightly louder, but in a diffrent tone. nitro's are screamers. high pitched and they all sound pretty close. 2 stroke "can" pipes are more like a weed wacker. deeper and muffled. but a good tuned pipe will turn it into a small dirt bike.. loud!! as your in college. rc cars are considered educational and their are no laws saying we cant learn. noise polution would be a loud radio. running a loud 2 stroke 5th scale in a public parking lot is simply sculpting the future for our young and bright engineers that will someday run our country. what authority of law inforcement would possibly hand out a summons under these conditions is beyond me.. keep in mind i am un educated and speeking out of my ass. ive been kicked out of more public places then a stray dog pee'ing on a beech towel!! but its damn fun!!
