Default Descent ESC

Hey guys, I recently bought an hpi e10 roller. And uh, after transplanting some of my own electronics into it well... my esc is huge. It's an old tekin from like 1990. Sucker is just too big to fit under that plate they want you to mount the electronics too and almost too big to mount on top. I can make it work for the time being but it wont be clean and neat looking under the shell with the wires all over. I know all the new modern esc's are alot smaller. Is there any specific models that you guys recommend to suit your needs? I am just running the stock brushed saturn motor right now, no real plans to go brushless (I dont really see it that necessary in a drift car). The lowest turn motor I own right now is a 17t out of my rc10 (an old trinity speed gems sapphire) that still runs like a champ (at over 15 years old at that).

so any ideas?
