Find a close coil spring, like the springs used in campervan curtains.
You don't want a thin wired spring, get one that has thick wire and tight windings. (it helps to put some heatshrink tube over the spring, for easy removal later).
You need one thats a snug fit, but not tight.
Insert the spring into the tube and bend it by hand around something round, like a "beer bottle"
or something simillar.
After you have the right bend, remove the spring.
