Default RE: ASP/MAGNUM FS400AR Rebuild/Overhaul

Hey Tom, hows your 400 doing ?

I just ran 5 liters through mine, and desided to take a look on the internals. Still on the ground......have not finished the plane yet.
Looks like a battlefield in there, with all the crud, slime, and a few tiny metal particals

My crank pins look alright, and are not damaged, and none of my C-clips have fallen off either

Well, the engine starts, and runs great. Running 5 liters of fuel through it deffinatly has made it run smoother.

My 20/8 prop seems too small. the engine accelereates like a dragster, so i guess it could use some more load.
Im goung to get a 22/10 for my 400 and stearman.

The power from this engine is awesome....way too much for my plane
But thats a good thing i guess, as i can run it at lower rpm, where the engine sounds best.

Im also ordereing the microsense 5 cylinder glow system.
It does idle best with the power on the plugs.......but maybe it will improve when the engine has some more time on it.
