I test flew my new VQ Hurricane 46 size today. I got 2 flights on it and it flies great. It's powered by a K&B .48 with a Bisson Pitts style muffler and is more than enough power as I flew most of the time at about half throttle. I installed Spring Air retracts so I didn't have to fiddle with the linkage. Empy weight is 7lbs 2 oz. I had to add 11 oz. of weight to balance it in the recommended range. I am impressed withe construction of the model as it is very well built. I need to re-shrink the covering as it has developed some wrinkles while I had it out at the field today. I need to replace the stock spinner as it has some wobble and not as round as it should be. I just ordered the 3 blade alum spinner that Tomas at VQ sells that will fit.
