I would think a couple of screws at the front that would keep it from sliding forward might do the trick. If you don't mind looking at the screws. Howard Hughes would hate it. Just make sure you put some hardwood that the screws can screw into. Otherwise, vinyl tape like electricians tape might be all that is needed. You can get different colors like white and red at Ace Hardware. The vinyl tape can easily be replaced.
