Default Robart Hinge Point question

I am installing Robart Hinge Points in my Hog-Bipe and would like to know the best way to get the "knuckle" of the hinge to fit in the hole. I am using the 1/8" size hinges and I used the drill jig to drill the holes. The hole is too tight to fit the "knuckle" of the hinge and the pin is about 1/4" out of the hole. I thought about using a larger drill bit and just go deep enough to get the pin flush with the TE. I also though about carving it out with a knife. I tried sharpening a brass tube and it did not cut the wood very well. What do you do to get the knuckle to fit in the hole?
