Thats exactly what we have done, the plane has 16 lights in total on the fuselage, so a 2s lipo will power these and the cockpit light/screens, naturally the power to the screens will be regulated down to the 3.8-4.2v generated from a single lipo.
We have also wired a feed off the activation switch so that the screens can be switched on and off from the equipment panel under the hatch on the side of the plane.

I will post some pictures tomorrow on the hook ups.

I will be running a small 1.5 screen for the HUD but currently it will not allow the memory to be formatted - think there was a disc that came with it but cannot be sure - any ideas?
