Last, but not least, is the new (Feb 2009 release) KMP 95" BF-110.
I built this airplane start-to-finish in only 35 hours. I got one of the first ones and decided to do a thread on it as I built. It was fun.
One flight only, so far, but more will come when the winds die down a bit.
There were only a few changes that I had to make, mostly for personal (asthetic) reasons, such as the different tailwheel, removable outer wing-panels, etc.
Engines are Zenoah G-26's with 16X10" two bladed props, for now. I have ordered three blade spinners custom from the nice folks at Dave Brown Products (
www.dbproducts.com) and they should be here in a week or so.
Servos are, again, a mix of my personal favorites - Hitec and Spectrum digitals. The horizontal stab is thinner on this than the B-25, so I had to use HS125MG's in there for the rudders. A 5945 is on the elevators. The wing is full of DS821's for ailerons and flaps, with 225's on the throttles.
The tailwheel steering is a DS821 also.
Batteries are 5-cell Nimh 4000Mah and 2700Mah for main ship, and a pair of 2100 4-cell Nimh for the ignitions. All are stuck as far forward as possible to balance her out (like all KMP Warbirds)
Receiver is a JR1221 again. TX is the JR 12X.
I just replaced the weak Gen V's with new Century Jet retracts, but haven't flown with them yet.
I got this one also from Tomas at
www.vqwarbirds.com . Check him out - he's got ALL of the good stuff and will make certain that you are a satisfied customer!
