Sam, the cups are machined straight out of a kart rear axle so I do not have exact knowledge of the material itself. It does have some spring steel characteristics in it, yet also some softness. Axle pins and driveshafts are made out of weldable acid stainless steel. Very hard material but according to material certificate, not prone to crack easily.
Obeast, failsafe is there and very soon there also will be a remote controlled kill switch, now there's only a manual one.
