got the Carl Goldberg kit from years ago ... built it last winter. no longer use that 3 bladed... using a 16x8 now.
Thanks for the info as I have the same kit NIB. Yours looks great. I have a 170R3 just for it.
Some pattern guys are going to 3 bladed props for the above mentioned reasons and for braking action on the downlines. The thing about the next blade hitting disturbed air from the preceding blade is mostly false. That air is already becoming a spiraling slipstream. Planes run smoother with more blades.
