RE: Phoenix Extra 300S 46
You'll need a Pitts muffler and a couple of extension hoses. That big honkin barrel muffler that comes with the engine won't get it here.
I found the Phoenix Extra 300 to be a bit on the flimsy side, especially in the nose area. I recommend beefing it up with some sheet balsa or light plywood.
I stalled mine when the wind reversed on approach at 3 feet altitude. When the nose kissed the ground the prop caught in the dirt and the torque twisted the nose right off just in front of the wing. It was a lot more robust once I rebuilt it.
