Default RE: Test run trouble.

It is NOT normal to have this high a voltage a the Glow Plug circuit. The one way this can happen is that a frayed wire on the starter motor comes into contact with the starter housing to put this volatge onto the motor can. Generally when this happens, the plug is damaged and unusable. It is important to note that this DC volatge to the plug and starter are "pulsed DC" and I will have to investigate fruther and respond on my finidngs.

Be carefull on testing the Glow Plug as I have had plugs that tested ok but when put into the Turbine do not work as the coil is in fact broken but touched enough to test ok outside the engine !

I will suggest that you remove the Glow Plug wire from the Turbine Glow Plug. Use a remote glow plug driver to light the plug and try a start in that manner. If this works, the glow driver circuit in the ECU is in question.

Also, I'm assuming that you have pulled at least 1) Glow Plug Coil DOWN and fully outside of the plug body. You will not acheive igntion without this step.

If you have a FW-series 100 pump, there where recalls on them and you should check with Flight Works as they may replace it. SIMJET has moved away from FLightWorks pumps in late 2007 and have supplied Hausel since.

Please advise of your results / findings.
