pinball, I'm not knocking his design. It just seems a little Rube Goldberg-ish compared to the traditional hook-bladed flute ripper.
Personally, I've had very little trouble mastering Tattoo's flute ripper. It's not as difficult or tricky as you make it out to be. Yes, it will sometimes jump out of the flute, but you really have to try to get it to do that. What's tricky is FINDING a Kevlar thread, let alone threading it through 48" of flute. They don't sell Kevlar thread at your local home center.
