That's the reason I immediately put a fan on the NiMH after a run.
NiMH keep on heating up for quite some time, when the boat is out of the water, that cooling factor is gone and using a fan remedies that.

Fortunately I only had one cell blowing up inside a sealed hull once, the hull blew up like a balloon, making the epoxy crack all over...

Good thing were running got Lipo's from this season on.
