Somethings wrong here, Batterys just don't go "boom" for no reason. I have a feeling you where running more than 5 minutes, didn't have low voltage cutoff enabled and drained it to long. Was that the 15c version?[&:]
EDIT: Also why would you just drive around slow and than just think to take the battery out after 5 minutes?
