HERE YE,HERE YE;
This project is an after-school project that I am submitting a proposal and budget to NSF for funding, at first we were just considering a 1/7th scale aircraft but then we discussed it and came to the conclusion that a proof of concept 'pilot program should be institued and so we decided to go with a 1/20 scale version to prove the concept, AND THEN DO THE 1/7TH as a final project. We don't have a schedule because we first have to submit the proposal and get it approved, SO I'm doing an 'out of pocket' reference model which is what's on the website as a summer pilot program at the school, It's an anti-gang type school in the Inglewood area near Los Angeles. This is a serious program under consideration for implementation in the schools in this area, and compensation will be given to whomever participates from an instructional point of view. Quite a few people had told me that this would be an uphill battle and I figure that if it was easy then anybody could do it....but look....confirmation? I'm still going to do it, even if it's by myself, I just thought that they're were somebody that wanted to give kids an alternative based on what we already do anyway,...know what I have a letter from NSF if anybody wants to read [email protected]
