I can obtain ethanol for next to nothing and if I mix a high percentage of nitromethane with it, wouldn't this bring the ignition temp up to a level similar to methanol? I'm thinking the meth in the nitromethane would be enough for the catalytic reaction with the platinum. Sport_pilot, can you verify or discredit this?
