Do a search in the forum using "Storing Jet-A" and you will find several threads on the subject.

Also, go to this testing site for info on storing and test equipment.

In order to avoid storing try "begging" when you go to the airport to get fuel. Some will provide limited quantities to a few model flyers. If you show up with a 50 gallon tank it's a different story. Try telling them you would be willing to come around on the day they are QC testing the underground tanks....hint, hint. Technically, in states with highway fuel taxes, resellers aren't supposed to pump any fuel into anything that doesn't have a tail number but.... Check around the rural airports. Many of them have 'self-serve' JetA pumps. Obviously, there are some guys for whom it isn't convenient to get anything but large quantities and storing it.
