As a general rule for good 3D performance - vertical performance you want to use the lowest pitch-largest diameter prop your engine will handle. If your running a 16x8 then try a 18x6 prop.
It will give you a slower top speed , but will give better vertical performance. Also try to use a light prop like wood not composite like APC.
