Default RE: Steering Servo 1:10 Brushless Advices

Hi, top of the line servo's are very expensive , $300-$400 ! the RT5 needs a fast servo with dual bb's, anything over 3kg of torque will do, i am a fan of hi tec servos for high stress apps but for racing a 2wd truck get something fast and reasonably cheap and buy 2 of em, even the best servo's can and do fail, then you have a broken waist of cash and a DNF, i use the cheapest i can find in my ST £ 2 each but still fully compatible with my spektrum dx3r set to 5.5ms frame rate !,my $100 hi tec aint!!! i bought 10 of cheapo's a year ago after yet another expensive servo died on me, my thinking was to replace them often , still works fine after many crashes at full speed with a 5.5t brushless li-po set up! i still have 9 left and to be completely honest, i cant tell the difference when driving. just an opinion based upon expensive experience. have fun
