A few years ago when they came out with affordable computer radios that supported multiple model memory, I saw may people get rid of all of their transmitters and replace it with one "Really Good" one.

I can't tell you how many of these people sat on the sidelines for a few weeks because their ONLY transmitter was in the shop.

These same guys would laugh at me for bringing 3 planes and 3 transmitters to the field. It was nice to get the last laugh

The moral here is: You should always have a back up!
