RE: replacement for a Norvel
Only have one Cox .09 RC so I may hang on to it a little longer.
Those Enya .09 engines are great. They start easy, have good power and are pretty quiet with the Enya muffler.
I don't know why guys have to have the latest and greatest schneurle-ported .049 or .061 wonder to scream it's guts out in a J-3 Cub when a good .09 like the Enya will do the same job with a whole lot less fuss. The starting drill is definitely less intense and a good .09 will seemingly last forever.
Sometimes you need a little nose weight and a heavier .09 could help there too.
I decided an .099 was the proper engine for my 1/2A models way back in 1951 and haven't changed my mind since.
