RE: CMP Zero Makeover
Yeah, I'm geeked. I bought the ASP for $1,100.00 on ebay from a guy in Canada who ships directly from the Chinese factory. At one point they were only being sold for $800.00 if you can believe that.....NEW and with a 1 year warranty! At the present time there is no distributor for ASP (Magnum is the same company but does not import the 400R to the U.S.) here in the U.S.. I have broken it in and it is great after troubleshooting a carb low speed rubber gasket that was not seating well. I had a long conversation with the new distributor of RCV, Weston UK, Alan Greenfield. He gave me incredible customer service on my old RCV. He also did some consulting on the rework of the Siedles built in India and said the machining done there on those engines is second to none and the latest technology. This is coming from someone who has been designing, building and tweaking engines for 25 years or so! Alan told me Mr Sieldel's philosophy is "radials for everyone" and the new pricing proves this. Did you ever see the prices of those engines when built in Germany? Anyway, I am off topic. I chose the ASP for cost, power, sound and nose weight with all that plus nothing sticking out of the cowl.
Of all the guys who have flown or are flying this CMP 80" Zero, what is the general consensus of the best CG?
