Jet-Tronics valves - question
I'm currently building a Skygate Hawk and have started to plan the equipment layout. Supplied are Jet-Tronics valves, the newer silver coloured versions.
Here lies the dilemma, the new versions have a lightweight plastic base plate into which 3mm barbed connectors are supplied factory fitted (and sealed) as standard, great for installations where 3mm air line is used, not great for 4mm air line systems :-(
OK so I could put 4mm to 3mm reducers on the lines, but seems a little crazy reducing the air line width just to suit the valves, being big cylinders 4mm line would seem preferable throughout.
I remember the older JT valves had a metal base plate with M5 threaded holes, you could then screw in any SMC/Festo fitting to suit your requirements, seemed a more practical solution albeit with a little heavier valve.
So can the newer valves be changed? Does anyone have some 'new' older valves (metal base) for sale/swap? Am I just being too fussy and should just stick reducers in?
