that's one of the things I found fault with on the 46...........it wouldn't shut down if you had it adjusted for good idle, good high speed, and good transition. You had to throw a rag in the prop to stop it. I called Tower about it and they told me "that's just the nature of the beast". There are plenty of good engines out there.........mostly OS........that will idle good, run full open good and transition good with out having to have a rag handy to help stop it.
